A Drop In The Ocean

I had some time to play last weekend, so I picked up my hammer and some heavy gauge sterling silver wire and created wire dangles that I textured with my ball pin hammer. Initially I made a more simple necklace by looping the dangles over a snake chain. Then I decided to develop the design further by adding a teardrop frame and a beautiful blue mystic quartz briolette.

A couple of Etsy treasuries

Take a look at these two excellent Etsy treasuries I have been fortunate enough to be included in. Firstly this bright sunny lemon collection by LiciaBeadsVault, imaginatively entitled 'When life hands you lemons, make a gin and tonic'. Great title! This treasury features my Starlight Drop Earrings.

And secondly, my Wire Jewelry Tutorial Package has been featured in this unique treasury by samnsara entitled 'Wired'

Starlight Drops

Hooray, my mojo is returning! I have finally felt the urge to be creative and I have to admit the inspiration was these wonderful pan cut briolette beads I splashed out on. Not clothes buying or chocolate for me to help pick me up... but some beautiful sparkly beads!

Missing mojo!

Hmm... I'm better now...
Hmm... Christmas is over...
Hmm... my birthday is over...
Hmm... New Year's Eve is over...
Hmm... the kids are back at school...
Hmm... I'm back to my teaching jobs...
Hmm... life is back to normal...

... so, why have I not picked up my wire and tools and made any new jewellery yet? My mojo is well and truly missing! All through my illness and the festive period I didn't worry as I was quite enjoying the break. But now it is getting silly!
