I was out in my garden this morning taking some photos of my latest jewellery pieces, in the best light I could find on such a misty day. After I had finished, my eye was drawn to all the flowers still surviving in my garden - in fact, I think some of them have got a bit confused and shouldn't be flowering at this time of year! It is probably due to the mild autumn we were having up until the cold weather came to the south of England this week.
I even found one of my dead-looking raspberry plants had few raspberries on it! They are not quite ripe yet and the birds will probably get to them before I do. I suppose their needs are greater than mine.

WOW - it must be mild in your neck of the world. I can't believe your nasturtiums and clematis and geraniums are still blooming. Ours are long gone and I thought we were mild!
ReplyDeleteHi Beverly - thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteYes, it certainly has been mild but the weather's turned freezing cold now. I also can't believe some of the flowers still in bloom - especially the clematis as I was sure it had already flowered earlier in the summer - most confusing but very pleasing!

Hi Susan
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my blog! I am very happy to have all these flowers in my garden at this time of year, as you must be with your irises, but do you think they will flower again next year or will we have a year without them?
Kristin :)
Kristin, i love flowers too and you have such pretty ones.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sally - it's now mid-December and some of these flowers are still going strong!
