Hammered Petals Necklaces (all of these are sold but the last 2 are in my Etsy and Folksy shops as ''Made to Order' items or can be custom made with a gemstone of your choice)
I'm calling these 'Funky Hammered Flowers' (with curled back petals)
'Green Aventurine Hammered Flower' (a large pendant with rectangular petals - there is something quite industrial about this design)
'Garnet Hammered Flower' (another big flower with shaped petals - the two photos show the stages of before and after I added some coiled jewels of rubellite garnet rondelles)
stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mel!
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your constant support and feedback on my jewellery - you help me believe in the reason why I am blogging and social networking (and creating new designs) - sometimes I feel I am blogging for the sake of it - it's a funny old world this, up and downs, sometimes you feel what you create is so relevant, other times you feel unsure whether your jewellery is what others are looking for.
Thank you for following my blog.
Kristin :)
That's a great mixing of classical and modern designing.

Very nice Kristin, and I love seeing the before and after on the last piece. It's so much fun to see how things change when we add or subtract something!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty flowers and petals! I love what you do with wire, your designs are so fresh and pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work - all these hammered petals are thrully like a signature for your jewelry creation - I can recognise it from a blink! I think it is extraordinary to be recognized by your work, it means you have really found your style, your way to go on. I hope someday I'll be able to do the same!
ReplyDeleteThank you Shay - I'm glad you like that last flower pendant, I think the addition of the coiled jewels makes it more special - it had a lot of attention at my latest fairs and was bought by a friend of mine.
ReplyDeleteThank you HR - I really can't stay away from flowers, even though winter is truly here, I still love flowers in jewellery.
Thank you Petra - I think you're right about finding my style because when I design different pieces I always consider how I can involve hammering in the design (oh yes, and I love flowers and petals!).
Kristin :)
I really like your all post here and this is the best ever... Thanks to post between us.

Dear, thank you for being a follower on my blog. I absolutely agree with you when you said that there are times that sometimes you feel unsure whether your jewellery is what others are looking for and then you find people wanting your pieces. I love your designs. To me it is the simplicity yet its uniqueness so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJenny - thank you for all your recent comments on my blog posts - I appreciate your feedback
ReplyDeleteSally - thank you for your support and lovely words
I'm pleased to say that all of these necklaces and pendants sold over the run up to Christmas and I even had a couple of custom orders of the same designs. I shall definitely making more of this range in the future (different coloured gemstones and different shaped petals).
Kristin :)
