BUGS - Fine Silver Charms and Earrings

Before Christmas a customer of mine challenged me to make his wife some fine silver textured disc earrings with a butterfly pattern. This took me on a little journey into making more discs with other insects and began my new line of 'Bug' charms and jewellery.

In my Etsy and Folksy shops you can buy any of the following charms for your own jewellery creations ...

... or I have also made some earrings using the charms.

I had lots of fun with my new camera today, not only trying out a new very shiny surface to display my jewellery on ...

... but also trying to capture the winter background of my garden in the snow. It has been a beautiful sunny day here - very bright and VERY cold!

  3. Thanks Jenn - I had fun making these but it's quite hard on the fingers to get the super shiny finish. I sanded, burnished and polished these by hand as I didn't want to risk putting them in my tumbler and the satin finish on the indents being affected!

Thanks 'hg' - Welcome to my blog. I agree, these are certainly 'cute'... maybe too cute for some?... I shall have to wait and see if this new range sells.

  6. Thank you Becky and Shay - my new camera has been fun to play around with - although choosing a blue camera was maybe not the smartest idea as I have been struggling with reflections in my shiny pieces!!!
