An urge to make some earrings

Yesterday I had an urge to make some earrings as I haven't made some for quite a while, mainly because I have struggled in the past with my new metalworking techniques to make a matching pair. This time I was very systematic with my approach to these earrings and tried to think each process through and where any non-matching problems might occur. I am pleased to say I think I've succeeded to make a matching pair of earrings. Hooray!

  2. Thanks Janice! I've made another pair of earrings today (different style) and am really trying hard with this 'matching' thing by planning things out before I even light my torch. I know it sounds funny but with soldering I always feel under pressure because things can easily go wrong and can't easily be repaired. It is much easier with wirework because you can work at your own pace and are not relying on solder to melt.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Hope all good with you.

  3. Lovely Pair of earrings! The hardest part of making them (for me) is making the ear wires match lol ... I always waste a bit of wire getting that part right!

    1. Thank you and lovely to hear from you! I agree, earwires are tricky to make! In the past, I have nearly always used ready-made earwires but the quality from my regular supplier is becoming questionable.
      All the best
